Power To Connect Campaign
With lockdown in place, parents across the UK are navigating how to keep their children educated and their families stimulated, entertained and connected with the outside world. For those without access to a computer or broadband at home, the challenge is even greater.
Wandsworth Council and Battersea Power Station have teamed up with local community partners to launch the ‘Power to Connect’ campaign to help raise awareness of the issues around digital poverty and to support local families and patients at St George’s NHS Hospital who are struggling to stay connected during the COVID-19 outbreak.
As part of the campaign, local residents and businesses are being asked to donate old, working laptops or tablets, and we’re looking for volunteers with IT experience to give some of their time and expertise.
